Hi helpdesk,

The basement flat within a converted house where I also own a flat has a rising damp problem and has asked the management company (ie me and other flat owners) to pay for the remedial treatment. The legal documents referring to the management company and other matters are really hard to decypher. Buildings insurance will not pay for such things.

Is is usual for a management company to be responsible for such damp proofing?

All help gratefully received
