due to the dishonesty of my tenant who did not inform them of a partner living in my property with her housing benefit have been in touch with me saying I have been overpaid and demanding £1800 from me and that is my responsibility to get the money back from my tenant which will definately prove fruitless. What is my legal possition here and can housing benefit legally force me to repay this
