Boiler Breakdown

Boiler 2 Years old. Keeps breaking down, I have British Gas cover. Engineer has visited property 3 times in the last week. Tenant not happy, as it is cold etc. They do have somewhere to stay until it is fixed. They are annoyed and has suggested compensation (in a Text)for time wasted, waiting for an engineer (time off work).

Just need to know my responsibilities as to how I should I should respond.
