missing deposits

I became a landlord for the first time on 18th March, with two residential flats. I requested that the previous letting agents transfer the rental deposits to me as I am managing the flats myself.
Despite phoning them daily the deposits have not arrived. I finally found out yesterday, 27th March, that the deposits were sent, but to the wrong bank sort code. My bank has told me that it could take ten days for the funds to turn up.The previous agents are not interested.
I understand that I am obliged to put the deposits in a protection scheme within two weeks of becoming owner, but I haven't got them.
What do I do?
