Leak from flat above

Hello, can you help, our tenant reported a leak from the flat above, which I also own. The leak from the kitchen waste pipe (so not sewage) went into her bedroom and onto her mattress.
She had to move into the lounge for a week while we repaired the leak, plastered and painted.
She has asked for compensation, I just wanted to check I am not liable to give her a rebate on her rent. FYI I use your standard Deposit Guard AST.
