We are in the process of sending out the Prescribed Information (PI) to one of our tenants who has advised us they cannot and will not supply a contact address to be used at the end of their tenancy as they have no family or friends.

At one of your recent training courses we were advised that the recording of a forwarding address at the end of the tenancy in the PI was obligitory, otherwise the PI was void.

As the tenancy has started and we apparently cannot obtain the information to put in the PI we are between a rock and a hard place!!

If we cannot obtain an address where do we go from here, can we put the rented out property address in on the assumption they will take out a postal redirection?

Your thoughts would be appreciated on how to overcome this and in particular is the PI void if we do not enter a forwarding address.
