Agent taking long time to giv me my money

Question:

My agent takes at least 3-4 days to pass my rent on to me. This causes me to become concerned that the rent is late and I have to check my bank balance every day, constantly wondering when I should contact the agent to find out what is happening.

My agent blames the bank, saying that they use BACS and it can take three working days to go through but it is frequently four days before I receive it. Is there any kind of industry standard for this or do I just have to put up with never knowing when I’ll get my money?
