In the news over the last couple of days has been the story of the surveillance flights over Slough seeking out illegal occupation of sheds in back gardens which through heat sensing radar and such like show signs of habitation .
There is such a glaring solution to this I can not believe someone in government maybe even Mark Prisk himself have not thought of it .
Shed Licensing , that’s what we need, maybe leave it up to the discretion of each individual council or borough as with the latest council tax changes so that it will be as simple to understand and implement as that is .
Obviously everyone with a garden shed large or small wooden or masonry will have to have a license , you see this is the only way to root out the rogue shed owner from the law abiding shed owner .
As I see it this will not be a regulatory burden the illegal shed owners will jump at the chance to register for a license eliminating any need whatsoever for on the ground old fashioned policing or local council enforcement.
