I have a group of students who rent a property jointly and have all signed the contract on the back page under a section that is headed - 'the five people loiving in the premises are:' however one female tenant has signed on the front cover and back under the section 'tenant.' She has not agreed to being a 'lead tenant.'

The situation now is that one tenant has left and the landlord is chasing the others for his rent.

Does the way the contract has been filled in mean that the female tenant is a lead tenant and is subletting and has full responsibility for the unpaid rent.

Who should the landlord be chasing for the unpaid rent.
