A friend of mine is trying to rent an apartment and has been told there is a new legal requirement for him to pay "Tenant's Insurance" at £8 per month. This is supposedly to cover any damage to the property even though he is paying a deposit. Does anyone know anything about this insurance as I searched RLA site and couldn't find anything.
