I have dispensed with an inadequate agent who has the tenant's deposit secured with DPS. I wish to safeguard this deposit with Deposit Guard and was persuaded by the old agent to register the deposit with TDS. This I did, but the old agent is being obstructive in releasing the deposit to me. They claim that the tenant has to divulge her PIN to us so that the deposit can be "unlocked". What should be the correct procedure here?
