Hi,
I took possession of a house with 4 flats as divorce settlement from my ex, but she refuses to pass the deposits to me (she never used a Tenancy Deposit Scheme), in the tenancy agreements she used the wording "two months rent advance".
The tenants have signed four new tenancy agreements with me.
Where do I stand ?
Should I protect the tenant's deposit anyway?
Or should I deduct the deposits from the final settlement (£30k) due to her on the 31st of December?
Thanks for your help.
Mark
