Took in young couple.Both work seemed genuine. Agreed to wait for final £600 deposit until they had it returned from last landlord. They paid £250 holding deposit and signed relevent RLA paper, and first months rent, and part of 6 weeks deposit in advance.
All put on rent book which I have. £1,300 to be paid tomorrow, being remainder of deposit and 2nd months rent. Have disappeared and taken all their furniture and much of mine. Place filthy not even hoovered.
Have contacted both the employers - but I know they are not in any way responsible.
They wanted to come in quickly so they could decorate previous property without their furniture in therE so as to get their depasit back.
Made a fool of again for trying to help them.
Can anyone advise next steps as not prepared to let this go.
