Hi,

When my tenants moved in 4 years ago they asked for my permission to add a few extra kitchen units (at there own expense), to which I agreed.

They have since given notice and are moving on Friday. So I have asked them if they could kindly remove the additional kitchen units and make good the work to as before; as the new tenant would prefer the extra space.

The agreement we had was never put in writing and was pretty informal. So does that mean I have no legal grounds to withhold part of there bond from the tenancy deposit scheme to cover these costs..?? And I should just put it down to experience for future reference..??

Many thanks
Antoni
