Renting property to son

I have a property that I currently rent out. In September my son and a friend are going to rent it.

1. Is it correct that I can still offset the interest and other expenses in the normal way?

2. Are there any implications if I want charge my son less than his friend? How do I issue a tenancy agreement to allow for this?
