Hi
Does anyone know if I can start a new tenancy agreement with my tenant. The letting agent who found the tenant 6 years ago has died. He was doing full management for me but this year I wanted rid of him as he was no good. I agreed to pay him a finders fee and for that he collected the rent and done a tenancy agreement.
Now he has died and at the moment his office is closed (not a ltd company) and no one seems to be getting their rent paid to them. I am about to ask my tenant to pay his rent directly into my account in the future (it is due 1st July) and wondered if I can just issue him with a new tenancy agreement and tear up the old one?
Many thanks for any replies
