We have a tenant who is moving out at the end of the month and she is approx 3 months in rent arrears. She claimed that she does not have the money to pay the arrears back in one payment and has asked to pay it back in installments. Her verbal word would hardly be enough to convince me that this would actually happen, so I am trying to find what other options there are for me to look at and what similar experiences/actions you may have taken? Maybe draw up a repayment contract for her to sign? Or are there specific loans available that tenants can apply for to repay arrears? Small claims court? Thanks
