I understand we are now responsible to ensure we don't let a house to someone who is in the uk illegally. How do we check that they are here legally? Which countries are ok-- is it EU countries or are there others as well-- and what should the passport say, something like a visa or indefinite right to remain? Please can you clarify? Thanks.
