We have a landlord who has come to us in a panic.
He has not registered a deposit that he took from the tenants. The tenancy has ended and there is a dispute over retentions.
The landlord has seen the error of his ways but has asked if it is worth lodging the deposit - albeit very belatedly!
What is the legal position?
Is it worth him lodging the deposit and tackling the dispute through the DPS?
