I seem to have a continuous problem with our council ie Leicester.
The scenario mainly is to do with when a tenancy runs on periodic. a tenant gives a months notice to vacate in writing , however his new tenancy starts after two weeks but gives me the key back on the day as the notice.
the council then gives the landlord only half a months exemption as they argue that they have already given the tenant half a months grace.
can anyone advise best way to get round this. thank you.
