Leaving a property vacant over the holiday season

Hi,

I’m a recently new Landlord and I have a few properties. I want to send an email out to all of my tenants advising them what to do over the holiday season when leaving their/my property vacant for a short period.

Can we make a nice common sense list on this thread of what to send them? Or some links to relevant articles/lists...

Things that come to mind are security and pipes freezing – although I’m not sure what the tenants can do to help these two things...
