I have just turned down an 85 yr old guarantor. He is home owner and claims to earn £1500 pm in pension and odd jobs. He looked a really decent guy. I just cannot imagine a judge letting me enforce anything against someone that age if it came to court action. So I suppose his benefits granddaughter has got no chance of getting a tenancy out of me.
Any other views on the age or eligibility of guarantors?
