I have used a guarantor for current tenants. After a house inspection I have found that damage to the total of around £1100 has been caused by the people living there. The tenants state they don't have the money to pay for the repairs.

Am I able to approach the guarantor for the damage claim or are they just used for ensuring rents are paid?
