Hello
We have used an estate agent to find new tenants for our flat. Part of their service is to obtain previous landlord references, employment references and details of a guarantor. However, the estate agent has informed us that they are unable to share this information with us because of data protection. This means that we have no information on our new tenants. I have asked the agent to seek the permission of the prospective tenants to share this information. Do we have the right to request this information?
