I have a potential tenant whoes guarantor has not passed the checks. This is a potentail long term let and they have offered to pay 12 months in advance. As I may have a problem in six months, instead would it legal for me to request they remain 6 months in advance. IE pay 6 months now in advance and continue to pay monthly going forward. Or would this be classed as a 6 month deposit?
