My tenants moved in 3 weeks ago. I went round the house and recorded the condition of the house. The tenant last night reported a cracked window in one of the bedrooms. I sent them the video and they admit the window was fine the day they moved in. Now they are suggesting either the painter cracked the window who painted the house during the 1st three days of their tenancy or they think it might have been caused by the hot weather.

Am I right to get them to pay for it?
