Hurry, hurry to get todays Times [Nov 8th] to read on page 21, a welcome article penned by Max Hastings, its 'spot on pertinent' to us all. He writes that a 'healthy private rental sector is essential'.

His wife is one of 43% of landlords that lets a single property in return for a modest profit & some considerable pain when scams attack a business.
He neatly encapsulates in a typical Exocet journalistic style most of the risks & threats we are rightly worried & fearful about.
Read the article to get the fullest gist of our shared concerns & challenges, in particular is the danger of overloading LLds with a regulatory burden.

He mentions that the WP ignores the fact that LLDs also need their 'rights' strengthening in order to stay in business. This is because the Gov openly campaigns to woo millions of tnts & their lobbyists.

He does refer to M. Gove's earnest desire to; support the vast majority of responsible LLds, who provide quality homes.
M. Hastings excellent piece ends with the unerring truth that; we need more, not fewer landlords.

I've ticked the box below in an attempt to get the LLd support team to get this post under the eyes of Ben Beadle so the wonderous momentum is not lost and the above influential article 'grows legs' & is echoed in other important places.
