Good afternoon

I have instructed my local agent to find me a new tenant. Last tenant left after 2.5 yrs. After carefully interviewing several applicants we have now found a suitable tenant. She has submitted her application and agent has taken a holding deposit. References have been carried out via estate agent and they are now preparing tenancy agreement. So far so good. Agent is refusing to allow me the name of the person I have requested her to write a resume on this person. She has told me they do not give out details until tenancy is signed. All I know is where she works. Previously this agent found a perfectly suitable tenant.
Am I being too pedantic?
Thank you for any info.
