Hi

Has anyone had experience with mortgages being declined or recinded after a new HMO license has been issued? I'm faced with having to get a new additional HMO license but my mortgage company (NAT WEST ) wont give buy to let mortages to HMO as a matter of course. They have even written to the council to ask them to remove the classification, of course the council have declined. The property is a small 4 bed maisonette flat. I'm now stuck between a rock and a hard place as I have to get the license, but will need to try to remortgage at a higher interest rate, and at my age is going to be difficult. I presume there are mortgage companies that aren't so fussy about HMO licenses on buy to let products?

Thanks for any advice.
