This seems like something designed to try and calm Landlords and Landlord associations with the upcoming renters reform.

I do not believe it will have any power in reality and there are too many holes in the concept.

Firstly it makes no sense that you'd be able to evict someone with 2 weeks notice because there's no chance there will be a official system in place that works fast enough to handle that speed of eviction should the tenant dispute it, which they will 100% of the time.

Secondly I believe the systems in place to handle this new Anti-social behaviour eviction power will be watered down massively after the renters reform bill goes through, leaving Landlords (particularly HMO landlords) with very little power to manage their properties.

It all sounds great on paper but the reality is you will never be able to prove anything and it will always go to court or adjudicators which will then take months to deal with anything.

The Landlords, NRLA and other associations should not let this fantasy policy temper their resolve in terms of pushing for proper Landlord protections. It is quite clear the government is trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
