Adding additional tenant to AST, do I add/amend to the deposit details too???

I have a tenant who wishes to take a new AST , longstanding good tenant, he wants his girlfriend to be added which is not a problem. However, the deposit with DPS is obviously currently just in his name, do I need to amend this to add the new party to the AST or can I leave in his name only.
