Are you interested in telling Shelter how it can better engage with landlords.

Like many colleagues, I occasionally post on the Shelter facebook group. They have been getting a massive amount of stick for their anti-landlord stance and since the start of the great sell-off, I think they have realised the error of their ways.

Anyway, they are keen (or at least say they are keen) for landlords to engage with them. This is the email. [email protected]  Morgan@shelter is the contact although staff changes are frequent.

I think this is worth doing and wonder if other NRLA members might want to comment. My view is that private sector landlords are being used as the whipping boy for decades of failure to build sufficient social homes. Local councils have ended up housing vulnerable tenants who need security of tenure in the private rental sector. I think we need to better clarify what the mainstream PRS is for and what it isn't.

Hope we can get some engagement as I think Shelter is quite chastened by what has happened recently so it is a good time to engage.
