Hi,

I had my lettings agent inform me yesterday that 2 of my houses need a new boiler. It was the same gas engineer who went round.

I spoke to another gas engineer who said 1 of the boilers may be fixable and may not necessarily need replacing.. It's a little dfficult as I have limited knowledge about boilers on whether the engineer is trying to get a new boiler out of me or being genuine.

However, I've contacted 3 different gas engineers who have suggested 3 different options for boiler replacements (both properites have 5 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms):

Engineer 1: Alpha Evoke 28, 8 year warranty, £1743.39 each

Engineer 2: Ideal instinct 2, 5 years warranty, £1500 each

Engineer 3: Baxi 830, 10 year warranty, £2200 each

I don't know which one to go for. Ideally want it to be cost effective but then not skimp on getting the cheapest either as could end up spending more money.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks,

Vishal
