I have an apartment in a small block which was built in 2019 so it is virtually new and still in warranty with NHBC. The managing agents have notified all the leaseholders that they intend to carryout major works (which they will bill us for) as a result of the new fire regulations that were brought in as a result of the Grenfell fire. The work is to take place in the electrical cupboard on each floor. The cupboards are lined with a fire resistant board and all joins are sealed with a mastic to prevent smoke rising through the building. Apparantly, the mastic used and I think some of the fire resistant liners are not up to the newest regulations. Does anyone else experiencing these issues and if so is it the responsibility of the leaseholders to put right.

Many thanks!
