My partner and I live in the EU and rent our flat in London. We are not tax resident in the UK, but need to submit a yearly tax return to HMRC in respect of the income from the flat. We have no other sources of income in UK, so the return should be quite simple. I am considering a subscription to a tax software package like landlordstax.co.uk, but would also consider engaging an accountant to act as our representative. Does anyone have any advice / experience of this type of tax software, or can you recommend an accountant whose fees are reasonable?
