Hi,

We are looking at doing a short term tenancy of 6 months or less where we won’t need to go through the hassle of section 21 or any other legal hassle in order to obtain possession at the expiry of the contract.

The reason for this is that the current tenant will be vacating the property in the next couple of weeks and we are planning on the possibility of converting the property into a few separate self-containing flats, for which we will need planning permission, get quotes, arrange workers,  etc., which we think will take a couple of months.

During that period we want to have someone living in the property so it won’t be empty and at the same time we will be getting rent coming through.
