Hello, can any members please recommend an insurance company who will offer short term cover (4 months probably) for an unoccupied property which is up for sale?   I contacted one of the companies recommended by the NRLA (Total Landlord Insurance) and spent time filling out the online form.  It has specific questions like "Is the property occupied?"  (No).  "What is the reason for the unoccupancy"  (Pending Sale).  "Unoccupied from" (Date).   "Expected occupancy date"  etc.  But then I had a response from an agent telling me:

"on this occasion we would be unable to offer a quote as we do not specialise in unocupancy insurance."

What a waste of time!   Thank you for any suggestions for an insurance company that can actually offer short-term cover for an unoccupied property.  Many thanks.
