Does anyone have any experience with Nottingham City Council regarding selective licencing? I recently tried to sell a property (have accepted offer, enquiries underway) only to find that it is subject to selective licencing. I genuinely had no idea this exists! I don't live in Nottm any more and had never heard of the scheme. I have been in touch with council who tell me recent scheme ended on 31 July, and new one doesn't start till 1st Dec, which does give a window in which to sell without a Temporary Exemption Notice (but that is assuming I can evict the tenant anyway - who has stopped paying rent, so that might help me). I understand I might still get fines for previous period though. Wondered if anyone knows anything about this?
