Hi There

My first post, hopefully someone can help...

We have been renting our house to sharers for a few years and discovered last week that a few months ago the local authority have changed the HMO regulations and now we need to apply for a licence.

The question is what do we do now? Can we continue to rent while we apply for a licence or do we need to evict the tenants and rent the house to a family? Have had zero luck contacting the Council so far so can't look to them for guidance and have zero faith in their ability to advise or support me through the application process.

I would value your thoughts.

Thank you.
