Mortgaging a Rent2Rent Property

Dear Forum

I have set up a (increasingly popular) Rent2Rent tenancy agreement on one of my properties with a specialist managing company.

The managing company undertakes to let the property on a non-residential short-term let basis for a fixed number of years, and takes responsiblity for setting up and management..

I have approached two reputable mortgage brokers who have advised that the property concerned is unmortgageable with this type of tenancy.

Has any forum member had experience of mortgaging in this situation and which provider did you find?
