I have existing tenants that started a tenancy in 2018.

They had right to rent at the time as they were EU citizens. I am now worried about whether they still have the right to rent?

Looking on the gov website all guidance seems to be regarding new tenancies and things for existing tenancies are a little vauge.

I asked if they could provide R2R still and they gave me their national ID cards for their home country. As per the gov websit this would no longer grant R2R but is it possible it's okay for retrospective tenancies?

I do not want to discrimate but also want to follow the new law.
