Hi, I have purchased the taxCafe book which is really helpful but I am still confused on some points regarding CGT.   Can anyone clarify for me -  when my tenant left as we were planning to sell, he'd been in the house for 15 years.  The house needed new carpets and decorating prior to selling.   We also put new taps in.  Can we claim the carpets, decoration, taps against capital gains as it was in preparation for selling?  Thanks.
