Good evening,

I have a tenant looking to withhold rent for maintenance issues around the house; the cooker is not working, door handles are loose, all jobs that will be resolved. Is there normally a guideline setting for your tenants, specifying a timeframe when the works will be addressed? I feel tenants are very quick to threaten to withhold rent due to any works. I was curious to know what the legal stance on this is and the time allowed to rectify these issues.
