I'm excited to join this forum and introduce myself as a new landlord. My wife and I are about to purchase our first property through a limited company. We've chosen this path for several reasons: we're both paying the additional rate for income tax, we're keen on diversification, and, if all goes well, we aim to build a portfolio.

After delving into the numbers, exploring tax rules, and brushing up on Accounting 101, we feel ready to embark on this journey. However, we understand there's a wealth of experience here, and we'd love to tap into it.

What is the one piece of advice you wish you knew when you were starting out? Any insights, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for sharing your wisdom and experiences.
