We have protected the tenancy deposit with TDS. We gave both the TDS certificate and the prescribed information to our estate agent. Our estate agent has e-mailed the TDS and gave hardcopies of the prescribed information and how to rent guide. The tenant has passed away. The tenant's estate is claiming 3 X tenancy deposit and the solicitor fees of around 9K. Is this claim valid as the agent has evidence of e-mailing the TDS certificate?
