Hi, I am looking to buy a property that we hope to move into in 4 years when we retire.  In the meantime the plan is to buy-to-let it and then when we sell our primary residence we can pay off the buy-to-let and move in ourselves.

If we issue an AST for 6mths, can we just ensure the tenants have a new AST every six months in order that we can ask them to leave when it suits us.  Our other buy-to-lets have rolling tenancies and I am concerned that a rolling tenancy will mean we may not be able to evict the tenants when we want the property for ourselves.
