My BTL property flooded a few weeks back and is currently in the process of drying out while my tenant is accomodated in an Air B&B. An insurance claim is ensuing but not settled yet. Unfortunately my policy is up for renewal mid Feb and my existing insurance will no longer cover flood. It has always been a challenge to insure as ithe house has previously flooded (in 2001) even though flood defences have been increased since that time. I've made several calls to brokers now and it seems that even after the claim is settled there is no insurance company willing to provide any cover. I had read that FloodFlash might be a solution albeit expensive but even they won't touch it. Any other ideas please?
