Has anyone had experience of an ex tenant seeking a rent repayment order for an HMO unlicenced  that was unlicenced only for a short period of time.  This was due to the Council giving the landlord wrong information. (though I realise it is ulimatetly the Landlords responsibility)  The Council swiftly gave the licence to the landlord and gave me a nominal fine as well.

Any pointeres of what a good Statement of truth looks like that needs to be submitted by the landlord to the First Tier Tribunal,.  Any pointers on how to lessen the amount to the ex tenant.
