Yesterday, the estate agent who I brought the property through 2 years ago rang me. They said a member of the tenants family had contacted them to arrange access as they were concerned about the tenant who they hadn't been able to contact him and he is a known diabetic. I feared the worst and raced around there with my spare keys. I met the family member and together we entered (ground floor flat) the building. We then went into the car park of the building to knock on the bedroom window which was ajar, so we knew he was home. We called, and called and eventually he responded. It was a close call, but luckily all was okay. I am sure many landlords have experienced similar. I just thought I would share the experience with the forum.
