Modern Method of Auction

Does anyone have any experience of selling property using the Modern Method of Auction? (essentially an eBay for houses website)

A local estate agent has recommended this method using the site iamsold.co.uk but its hard to find out useful sales history data etc

Compared to other methods it potentially has a more definite sale and a wider reach in terms of investors but I assume investors would be checking the normal property portals anyhow.
